The Lihué Calel National Park is located in the center-south of la Pampa province and it name means
Hills of Life. It's a small mountain system surrounded by plains and small salt lakes in the Monte ecoregion, an oasis in the middle of a semi-arid zone full of life, with interesting rock formations, cave paintings and a varied flora and fauna, standing out birds and two endemic plants species.
An ideal place to feel nature in all its purity, perfect for camping and enjoying the outdoors.
Spring is the best time to visit the park because of the favorable climatic conditions, the flowering of many species and the abundant birdlife. Summer has good weather although it's hot. Autumn presents a cooler climate especially at night although with less diversity of birds and flowering plants. Winter is the most adverse time.
