Photographic safari from Chascomús to Samborombón Bay
A 65 km (40 miles) round trip (plus many others back) along roads crossing Chascomús County countryside, arriving to the mouths of Salado and Samborombón rivers. Abundant birds and other wildlife can be seen along the road, running through estancias with low and flooded fields in certain sections, a very promising route that will hardly disappoint anyone interested in photographic safaris. On our first trip to the area 104 birds species were identified (see list at post end).Brown-and-yellow Marshbirds, Maguari storks, Snail kites and several ducks species are very common; other interesting or rare birds are Scarlet-headed Blackbird, Hudson's Canastero, Bay-capped Wren-spinetail, Cinereous harrier and Greater Rhea.
